Created from a customer’s wish to recreate the natural beauty of the Devon moors within their country cottage, this elegant green-white shade blends soft olive undertones with gentle warmth to create a calming and timeless atmosphere.

Inspired by a photograph of lichen-covered rock, Elf Ear beautifully captures the subtle muted colours of nature — soft, grounding and quietly sophisticated. Its delicate balance of pale green, warm white and olive tones makes it ideal for walls, ceilings, bedrooms, kitchens, hallways, bathrooms and country-inspired interiors seeking a soft and natural palette.

What’s it going onto?

14m² per litre — the coverage on our tins — plus 10% for touch-ups. Bare plaster and rough render take more.

Made to apply beautifully

Stir thoroughly before use. Surfaces should be clean, dry and sound. Touch dry in around 2 hours and re-coatable after approximately 4 hours.

For best results, use a premium quality medium-pile roller and synthetic paint brushes. Clean brushes and rollers with warm soapy water.

Stir and prep Stir thoroughly, and make sure the surface is clean, dry and sound.
Roll the first coat A premium medium-pile roller and synthetic brushes give the best finish.
Leave about 4 hours Touch dry in around 2 hours, re-coatable after approximately 4.
Wash out warm Brushes and rollers clean up in warm soapy water. No solvents needed.

Paint orders arrive in 1–3 working days, with delivery included on standard UK addresses.

UK mainland Scottish Highlands & islands, or Northern Ireland Isle of Man Republic of Ireland Somewhere else

1–3 working days. Delivery is included in the price of the paint. Order before 12 noon and you can add a specified next-working-day delivery at checkout, from £13.95.

A little longer than 1–3 days. These sit outside our standard UK area, so a delivery charge applies — you will see it at checkout before you pay. We do deliver to all of them.

2–3 working days. A delivery charge applies, shown at checkout.

2–5 working days. A delivery charge applies, shown at checkout.

We are sorry — we cannot deliver to you. We only ship within the UK, the Isle of Man and the Republic of Ireland, so we are not able to send paint to the USA or anywhere else. If you have a UK address to send to, we would love to deliver there.

What goes into the tin

Ingredients we’re happy to list

Elf Ear is a water-based paint with ultra low VOCs, certified vegan by The Vegan Society. The binder is an acrylic resin rather than a microplastic, the pigments are solvent- and VOC-free, and there is no formaldehyde, no heavy metals and no phthalates anywhere in the tin.

We keep the exact formula to ourselves — but we are happy to be open about every ingredient that goes into it.
